note that using ADF Faces you wont be exposed to HTML 5 directly. Instead the ADF Faces components would use HTML 5 in their rendering. This said, if you need a component with the canvas behavior then this need to be provided as an ADF Faces component. Again, using HTML 5 in the rendering of our components does not expose you to HTML 5. This also is the benefit you gain from using ADF Faces. The plan in ADF Faces is to use HTML 5 in some of our component renderings. However we have no immediate plan to re-write the complete component set to use this rendering.
Hyangelo, you list features of HTML 5 without looking at what ADF Faces provides (for example, we do have a slider component). So what we really would need is – as Shay says – functionality you are think is missing in ADF Faces. This then can be put on a list of enhancements for a next release, still may not requiring HTML 5 for implementation
